Townsite Campground is located a very short distance from Cameron Falls - a must see in Waterton National Park.
Unfortunately, fires are only permitted in communal cooking areas and there are no fire pits at the camping sites- but each campsite does have its own picnic table. There are also bear lockers to safely store your food!
Dogs are also permitted at the campground but must be on a leash at all times. The campsite is regularly visited by deer.
Our Review - Townsite Campground, Waterton Ab, Canada
We stayed at Townsite Campground in May of 2024 in zone H and overall we enjoyed our time there - but we probably we wont stay there again. While the scenery surrounding the the campsite is absolutely beautiful, it is very busy and the camping sites are very small. We were also disappointed to not have our own firepit.
However, the main reason why we wont stay there again is because the campsite is absolutely infested with gophers! While we were away during the day the gophers chewed up our tent - thankfully they didn't get inside! If you do stay, we recommend you stay in zone E as that area of the campground seemed to not have any.
